The assessments will consider scrap extrusions, also known as profiles, comprised of 6063 aluminium alloy in two qualities: clean production scrap and post-consumer scrap with maximum impurities of 5% (also known as 95/5).
The specifications of the new price assessments will be as follows:
Aluminium scrap, clean production extrusions (6063), delivered consumer Europe, € per tonneQuality: Shall consist of one alloy (6063/HE9) and may contain butt ends from the extrusion process but must be free of any foreign contamination. The consultation period for this proposed launch starts on Friday September 6 and will end on Friday October 4. The launch will take place, subject to market feedback, on Friday October 11.
