Catherine Oates

Cathy is the managing director of the Fastmarkets events business. Cathy joined Fastmarkets from The Telegraph where she held the position of strategy and business development director for events and prior to that was the global customer insight and experience director for UBM Plc (subsequently Informa) . Since joining the business, Cathy has led the business through one of its most volatile and challenging periods, rapidly changing the business model during Covid to a digital-led delivery and latterly restarting the in-person events business. In her role, she leads a cross-functional team to deliver stand-out events and drive innovation through building deep customer understanding and insights.
