Dan Hilliard

Dan Hilliard is Fastmarkets’ steel editor for the Americas. He leads a team in the US and Brazil in pricing finished steel products ranging from hot-rolled coil to SBQ, merchant bar to wire rod. He also has responsibility for US ferroalloy pricing. Dan has worked as a steel journalist since 2009 and has been with Fastmarkets since 2023. Previously, he covered police and military matters for several daily newspapers. He hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and studied journalism at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
