Patrick Cavanagh
Senior economist
Patrick Cavanagh leads the analysis for wood pulp markets at Fastmarkets RISI. He is the author of the World Pulp Monthly and co-author of the World Pulp & Recovered Paper five- and fifteen-year forecasts. Pat started with RISI in 2015 as an analyst in the wood products economic analysis team, before moving to the fiber economic analysis team. In this team, he has completed several single- and multi-client studies, including the Outlook for the World Fluff Pulp Market and the Outlook for the Global Dissolving Pulp Market. He also led the analysis of specialty pulp coverage as the author of the World Dissolving Pulp Monitor and the Nonwovens Price and Cost Monitor.Pat holds a Master of Science in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Arts from American University.
