This prestigious panel will explore the Coal Compensation Fund as well as the degree of relevance between policies and regulations related to the coal price in Indonesia such as:
- Is the special HBA for electricity and industry (capped 70 USD/ton & 90 USD/tons) still relevant to the current coal conditions?
- Are HBA with a 6,322 GAR reference still relevant for HBA reference? We know that Indonesia produces thermal coal with a calorie reference in the range of 5,000 GAR, while in Indonesia only a handful of companies produce 6,000 calories above.
- How is the progress of MIP preparation or how far is this rule? And does this MIP still need to continue?
- What are the pros and cons of MIP for governments and entrepreneurs? Can any company sustain this MIP?

Coal is used to be the industry with 1,000 enemies. It’s also well known that LNG and renewables firmed with storage are probably the most serious threats, but the questions remain as to how realistic they are as alternatives, especially in Asia.
