The Coaltrans Lifetime Achievement Award seeks to honour an individual who has made an outstanding and sustained contribution to the region’s coal industry. This award recognises long-term commitment, leadership, and impact in shaping the sector’s development, technological advancements, sustainability efforts, or economic growth. 

Nominations are now open for the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award. Who would you like to nominate? The winner will be chosen from the list of nominations and announced at CT Asia 2025 in Bali this September.

Submission Deadline: 1 June 2025

• •The nominee must have a minimum of 25 years of experience in the coal industry within Asia. 
• • Demonstrated excellence in leadership, innovation, or advocacy that has positively influenced the industry. 
• • Contributions to policy, market growth, technology, or environmental advancements in coal production, trading, or energy generation. 
• • Proven mentorship or industry development efforts, fostering future leadership and talent. 
• • Recognised ethical and responsible business practices that align with regional and global standards. 

1. 1. All nominations must be submitted using the online form. Nominations must be received no later than 5:00 pm (GMT) on 1 June 2025. Incomplete entries will not be considered. We encourage submissions to include hyperlinks to photos, videos, etc. directly within the online submission link. 
2. 2. We accept nominations directly from the nominee or from a third party. If a third party nominates a company or individual, it is required that the third party must provide legitimate and direct contact details of the nominee, including their email address so that we may contact the nominee to verify their consent and provide more information, if required.
   If no contact details are provided, OR if the individual fails to provide the required response by the specified date, the nomination will be excluded from consideration. 
3. 3. Entries will require a jpeg or png four-color headshot of the individual nominated. These files must be uploaded to the entry form. If a photo is not received by the deadline date, Fastmarkets reserves the right to substitute a suitable image via public domain. 
4. 4. Winners will be notified prior to CT Asia 2025, which takes place 21-23 September 2025. 
5. 5. All information submitted through the Nominating Process and all supporting materials will be considered strictly confidential and will only be used by Fastmarkets in determining the recipient of the Coaltrans Lifetime Achievement Award. 
6. 6. Fastmarkets reserves the right to process nominations and their information to verify eligibility and merit.
