We are pleased to announce that Cristiano Teixeira, CEO of Klabin, has been named the 2024 Fastmarkets Forest Products Latin American CEO of the Year.
The award will be formally presented at the Fastmarkets Forest Products Latin America Conference 2024, which will take place on August 12-14 at the Renaissance Hotel São Paulo, Brazil. At the conference, he will also share a discussion panel with Rafael Barcellos, Bradesco BBI’s Head of LatAm Metals & Mining, Pulp & Paper, and Cement.
Teixeira was selected by financial analysts who cover the Latin American pulp and paper industry. They recognized his exceptional leadership and the remarkable achievements of Klabin in the past year. These include the start-up of the Puma II expansion project that added a new flexible kraftliner and boxboard paper machine in 2023, as well as the construction of the Figueira corrugated board plant, which commenced operations in April 2024.
Under Teixeira’s guidance since 2017, Klabin has experienced significant growth, solidified its position as a sustainability leader, and consistently impressed the industry with the introduction of new products, including a kraftliner made of 100% eucalyptus fiber, known as Eukaliner®.
In 2023, Teixeira was also recognized by market participants at the Fastmarkets’ PPI Awards ceremony, when he was chosen the International CEO of the Year – a global recognition for his achievements in the industry.
