Correction to UK domestic 316 stainless steel scrap assessment on June 14

Fastmarkets has corrected its MB-STS-0259 stainless steel scrap 316 solids domestic, delivered merchants UK, £/tonne price assessment, which was published incorrectly on Friday June 14.

The price was incorrectly published at £1,150-2,000 per tonne on June 14. This has been corrected to £1,950-2,000 per tonne.

Fastmarkets’ pricing database has been updated to reflect this change.

Following an informal consultation with the market, and a review of typical data sets that are collected over the recent months, Fastmarkets now proposes to increase the frequency of MB-BX-0016 Bauxite, cif China, $/dmt price to weekly basis and extend the timing of the price to reflect cargoes for arrival within 90 days, as well as moving the publish time to Friday from Wednesday.
