Extension of consultation for North American lumber, panel and Random Lengths International methodologies — final decision

Random Lengths has concluded its industry consultation, will add delivered Dallas fingerjointed stud prices and make changes to veneer reporting.

On June 20, Random Lengths will publish three new assessed delivered Dallas 2×4-8 fingerjointed stud prices for ES-LP, Fir&Larch, and Western S-P-F. Specifications for those items are as follows:

Beginning with the June 21 panel report, Random Lengths will scale back its re-porting of the veneer market to more closely align with industry feedback. Random Lengths will discontinue its reporting of all seven Douglas Fir 1/10-inch CD and AB items. The last assessment date for those items will be in the June 14 issue of the panel report. Discontinued items are as follows:

Random Lengths will also move forward with a new assessment for European Spruce #2 2×4 16-foot. Publication of that assessment will coincide with the launch of the new Fastmarkets Dashboard later this summer. We will issue a pricing notice ahead of the launch with full item details.
